While exploring the trench, the team encounters the megalodon, a giant shark believed to be extinct for millions of years.

As the megalodon wreaks havoc and threatens to attack a beach full of people, Jonas is recruited by Dr. Zhang's daughter, Suyin (played by Li Bingbing), to join the rescue mission. The team must now race against time to stop the enormous creature and save those in danger.
